봉은사. Bongunsa Temple

I went to a Bongeunsa Temple.

It seems to me that the temple is big and easy to visit among the temples in Seoul.

I come from time to time.

-   Information   -

The Bongeunsa Temple was built in 794 (10 Years of King Wonseong) under the name of Gyunsungsa in Silla Period by Yeonhoi Buddhist monk. Queen Jeonghyeon who consort of King Seongjon renamed Gyunsungsa Temple to Bongeunsa Temple in 1498 (4 Years of Prince Yeonsan ).

Those who move to the car can park in the parking lot and come to Bongeunsa Temple.

If you wanna take a subway, Follow me.

From Bongeunsa Station on Line 9, take the exit number 1 and walk about 100 meters.

You can look The Bongeunsa Temple.

-   Let's Go   -

I used the subway and wanted to take a picture of Bongeunsa from the front of COEX, so I came to the exit number 7.

There is also a cherry blossom that makes me feel springtime.

-   Entrance   -

I once took pictures of cherry blossoms and went back to take Bongeunsa... Oh...

I looked at Bongeunsa Temple and saw people were doing construction work in the front of The Temple.

I was supposed to take a clear photo of the main gate after the construction, but I found out it take a few months to finish the construction and i decided to take a photo now.

I went to the main entrance gate of Jinyeomun and greeted Four heavenly kings.

-   Lotus   -

I'm going to enter the precincts through Beopwangru, but the lotus is so beautiful that I took pictures again.

On the left, the Buddha  in the pond seemed to be smiling at me.

That green stems in the pond will be blooms in the summer.

During the lotus festival held in the summer, you can see the lotus bloom.

 -   Daewoongjeon   -

(the main building of a temple)

I walked up the stairs to the Daewoongjeon front yard, passing the Beopwangru with the information desk and office.

I could see the stone pagoda which is three stories.

I greeted and than headed to Daewoongjeon.

I looked at the pagoda in front of Daewoongjeon again and took a picture.

It was so good. ^) ^

I should have taken a picture of Daewoongjeon, but there is only a photograph of a background taken from a distance.

I greeted the Buddha at Daewoongjeon and then moved my foot back.

-   Jijangjeon   -

(Hall of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva)

Before going out of the main hall and using the stairs to go up, I took a picture of the guide.

On the right side you can see a Jijangjeon who cares for the Jijangbosal(Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva).

It is state of guide map.

There is a little difference from the present. Now there is a parking lot next to the road.

When I came up on the stairs, one person was giving cat a meal.

Yum Yum🐾.

I saw the wildflowers so beautiful.☘️

I looked at the foreground in front of the Buggeugbojeon(Arctic Hall). You can see COEX in the distance.

People are gathering in the front yard of Daewoongjeon, and maybe try to do a little work.

In front of the Buggeugbojeon(Arctic Hall), there was a beautiful blooming
Red Prumusmume.

It is pretty flowers with a red light. πŸŒΊ

-   Miryukdebul   -

(Maitreya Buddha)

I'm now two-thirds of the Bongeunsa trip.

From the Buggeugbojeon(Arctic Hall), you can see the Buddha statue, Miryukdebul. With a height of 23m, it is Korea's largest Buddha statue.

Miryukdebul was built in 1986 by Yeongam Monk, and more than 10,000 people participated in it. It was completed in 1996 after ten years.

-   Miryukjeon   -

(Hall of Maitreya Buddha)

It is Miryukjeon in front of Miryukdebul.

These patterns are engraved on the bottom of the temple.

-   Nalmulgos   -

(Spring water)

On the left side of Mireukjeon there is a water fountain, which is written as a map of the mountains. It's too pretty to have a neck.

-   Jonglu   -

(Bell tower)

There is a bell tower in front of Mireukjeon. There was a Jonggak next to the Nalmulgos, but now the bell tower is built and the Jonggak is preserved.

It is said that Bongeunsa has moved the old 'Jonggak'(Bell tower) as he built the newly-built Jonglu.

I thought I took a lot of front shots while I was taking pictures.

... I'll take a good shot...

I’m now at the gateway to the end of the tour of Bongeunsa Temple. I came back to the Beopwangru.

I will finish the writing by going to the way of "Bongeunsa Temple" which I took in.

I've looked around two-thirds of Bongeunsa Temple. you can stay at Temple Stay or see Buddhist Graduate School.

If you come to Korea, it would be nice to take a look around here.

I hope you guys have a good day.πŸ₯

See ya.
